Sporting Chance is designed for individuals who are looking to improve their health and wellbeing, through engaging in activity and easy-going exercise  in groups, within a community setting.

ACTIVITIES

Sporting Chance welcomes all over 50 years, regardless of their ability, and offers a wide range of exercise and activity, including low  impact chair exercises, walking group, (indoor cricket, quoites and golf ) table tennis,and Aquacise,sessions so there’s something for everyone. The sessions are friendly, supportive and welcoming, and always end with a cup of tea and a chat!

REMINISENCE SESSIONS

Sporting Chance organises 'Reminisence Sessions' with various personalities and at Local Venues. These sessions are always popular and could include Middlesbrough Town Hall, MFC, The Little Theatre, and The Cleveland Archives.

All are supervised and are open to everyone - see this Site or the Newsletter for further details.

VISITS

Sporting Chance organises events, such as a summer BBQ and a Christmas Party and visits to places such as Eden Camp near Malton, the National Armoires at Leeds, Beamish, the National Glass Museum, the National Royal Navy Musuem and other Sporting Chance Society’s for Tournaments ’ etc. see this site or the Newsletter for details.


These events/visits incur an extra nominal charge for the coach, entry etc.

DON'T  BE LONELY OR ISOLATED

Participants report weight loss, reduced medication, improved mood, improved mobility or an overall increased sense of wellbeing. Nearly all participants report an increase in opportunities to socialise, they ‘get out more’ and have’ lots of new mates’.
